Post Covid demand for industrial warehousing space has reached an all time high. In 2021 we have transacted lettings of circa 70,000 square feet on behalf of clients Franklin Steel Plc across their North East and Cumbria sites.
In November this year J.VAN VLIET were the latest tenant to take industrial space at Franklin Industrial Estate, Blaydon upon Tyne which sits immediately adjacent to the A1M taking the total transacted space at Blaydon this year to just under 60,000 ft2.
J.Van Vliet are international horticultural/flower retailers and distributors with depots throughout the UK, Europe, USA and South America and have committed to 18,000 ft2 of warehousing after relocating from Team Valley.
The latest addition brings the Blaydon site to 100% occupancy and other recent lettings here by L&P included Rowen Homes who took 30,000 ft2 and a local independent who secured 10,000 ft2 of space. This is in addition to the letting of Franklins Whitehaven premises earlier this year which totalled circa 12,000 ft2. L&P are sole letting agents and property advisers to Franklin.
